Philip Owens

Philip Owens started dancing at the age of five in Dublin, Ireland under the instruction of the world-renowned teacher Peter Bolton. Philip won the Leinster Regional Oireachtas on several occasions and was also runner up at the All-Ireland Championships. He successfully received his teaching diploma in 1980 and continued on to receive his A.D.C.R.G. certification to adjudicate Irish dancing. An Coimisiun in Dublin recently appointed him as a grade examiner. Together with Terry Gillan and Elaine Kavanagh he taught with the renowned Naomh Padraig School in Dublin. Philip is a fluent Gaelic speaker who also taught at many Irish language schools throughout the Dublin area.
